"Finance" educational program

"Almaty Management University" KP RK МССССК 03.02.2017 based on the updated license issued by KZ03LAA00008295, carries out the training of specialists in the educational program of the "Finance" specialty.
In addition, specialty 6В04105 - "Finance" is accredited by the Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NKAOKO) for a period of 5 years (29.05.2017-27.05.2022).

The purpose of the program:
In the field of financial and investment management, highly educated, competent professional personnel who have the skills to effectively manage cash flows, financial portfolios, investment projects, evaluate and monitor financial services, business, information and financial technologies, are capable of becoming leaders in the chosen field of professional activity and are competitive in the labor market preparation.

Program mission:
Creating a new generation of leaders with an entrepreneurial mindset who can connect the past, present and future of financial processes.
At the same time, the development of personal qualities of students and formation of competences in accordance with the needs of the labor market and business.
Thanks to the knowledge you have received at the Almaty University of Management, you will become a competitive specialist in the field of finance: you will create, optimize and implement company budgets, effectively manage cash flows, financial portfolios, investment projects, analyze and evaluate the financial activities of enterprises and industries, monitor the business sector.
The educational process of the educational program of the specialty "Finance" is organized according to the technology of credit education.
The structure of the educational program is based on the modular principle and consists of 5 blocks:

1. Basic education: information and communication technologies and languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, French, Spanish, Korean;
2. Entrepreneurship: 1st course - generation of ideas, development of creativity, 2nd course - creation of a business project, 3rd course - development of management skills, 4th course - ready business plan;
3. Management module: management, accounting and auditing, economics
4. It module: information management system tools-spreadsheets
5. ·Individual module: leadership, critical thinking, life design, service learning, research methods
6. Professional module: finance, banking business, personal finance and investments, financial reporting and analysis, corporate finance, taxes and taxation, financial management, business budgeting, stock exchange and insurance business, financial technologies of business solutions, modern payment systems and technologies, Excell and financial modeling of projects in R, management specialties portfolio of financial instruments, business restructuring: mergers and acquisitions, risk management: assessment, tools and methods, Islamic finance, banking risk management and bank development strategy, insurance and actuarial accounting divorces.

The educational program of the specialty "Finance" at the university is implemented according to two educational trajectories of training students:
·Specialist with professional knowledge of financial markets and fintech-financial markets and financial technologies, with managerial skills for effective management of financial resources of the company.
· Financial risk management - training of specialists with skills in the field of risk management and effective business management in a changing business environment and uncertainty.

One subject per semester is taught in English in the Russian and Kazakh departments of the program;
all students of the specialty are provided with industrial practice bases;
Subjects in the 4th year are based on practice.
