School of Economics and Finance teachers completed the course "Financial Literacy"
On August 26-28, 2024, teachers of higher education institutions completed the course "Financial Literacy".
Formation of the AMANAT party, approved by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the implementation of the project "Society without Debt" of the Committee on Higher and Postgraduate Education of the AMANAT party dated October 19, 2023 No. 12-01 / B-1404 The course was conducted as part of the roadmap for expanding the scope of the project.
In order for the faculty who completed the course to be able to effectively teach the subject of financial literacy, it was necessary to organize a course for other teachers. In this regard, Aizada Adilovna Zhakupova, Senior Lecturer at the School of Economics and Finance of Almaty Management University, organized the course "Financial Literacy" for the faculty in the field of finance. The teachers gained in-depth knowledge of personal finance management, savings and investment strategies, effective debt management, the basics of the tax system, as well as financial security and insurance. The course used practical examples and methods for analyzing financial situations, which allowed the teachers to effectively teach financial literacy in their subjects. The teachers expressed a desire to apply this knowledge to their subjects and actively participate in improving financial literacy among students. At the end of the course, there was an argument between the teachers. During the discussion, the participants discussed various methods of teaching financial literacy, including interactive teaching methods, the use of practical cases, and the possibility of introducing gaming technologies to increase student interest.
